Benjamin Estrada
I have always
love the retro elements from the 50’s such as Pin up girls, old
school tattoos, movies, b movies, design, products...etc. and I
try to use them as much as possible in my work, sometimes its
pretty obvious, sometimes it isn’t but they are always there
even as small detail.
I consider myself
a Pin Up artist, for me pin ups are a THE BEST way to attract
your audience attention, and since its beauty its not “natural”
but “made” I think that gives you the perfect element that can
fit in any context, suit any need and work in every possible
way. That’s why most of my work features a girl.
Most of my work
is digital. Underground music in Mexico doesn’t have the budget
to afford silkscreen printed posters, so all around here is made
through Xerox or digital printing, that’s why all of my work is
made on Macromedia FREEHAND and /or Adobe PHOTOSHOP, this way
its easier and faster to have the work done and printed,
specially when I’m working for someone in another country.
