"Well,
you outdid yourselves again. I appreciate your constant effort for
making quality education. You are making a positive
difference." Rosemary Porter, Boston Elementary
For their innovative In-School Partnership program, the KACF Education Department oversees a partnership between a school or organization and a visiting artist. The artist, along with KACF educators, designs and coordinates a long-or short-term art project targeted towards a focus grade or group. The projects are thematic, and have included ceramics, carved walking sticks, basketry, and quilting. -The KACF staff offers expertise in conducting comprehensive art and craft projects for all ages and abilities. -Through the KACF Partnerships program, the school has access to a network of artists from which to select a program. -Projects are planned in conjunction with Core Content goals and can also be applied to projects in science, history, or elsewhere. -The program is open to grades k-12. -The range and scope of partnerships is flexible and will be negotiated by the KACF staff. -Community groups are also welcome to participate in the Partnership program. |
